Jeanette Kinsella, CSP has been an active member of the Central New York Chapter of the American Society of Safety Professional (previously ASSE) for 24 years. Jeanette currently holds the office of Member-at-Large in the Central New York Chapter and has previously held President, Vice President, and Treasurer positions. She has chaired several committees over the years, has been active in planning and participating in the chapter’s annual Professional Development Conference (PDC), and is currently the chairperson for the chapter’s Women in Safety and Health (WiSH) committee. She is also active in her four children’s Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, and Youth Hockey and balances her full-time career in safety and health. This is the second time Jeanette has been awarded the chapter’s Safety Professional of the Year (SPY) honor.
The SPY award is an annual chapter award which was originated during the 1984-85 chapter year. This award is presented annually to an active chapter member who has demonstrated his or her commitment, dedication and professionalism to their chapter members, co-workers and to the community. Most of all, it is to their safety profession, including the many years of active involvement in organizations just like the ASSP that serves as the major criteria for selection.
