Project Specific Safety Specialist

General requirements are as follows:

Dedicated Safety Professional Qualifications:

· ASSP or BCSP Certification (including CSP, CHST, ASP, STS) + documentation of related work experience OR

· CUSP + documentation of related utility and/or safety work experience OR

· Occupational Safety or Electrical Utility Management (suitable) experience and working towards obtaining a CUSP/BCSP/ASSP certifications accompanied with a corresponding timeline

Persons working in this field with relevant safety experience would be considered.

In addition to meeting at least one of the above aspects of certification and experience, this individual must be able to:

o Provide related instruction to others,

o Present themselves effectively with all levels of staff,

o Communicate clearly in both written and verbal contexts,

o Identify, stop, and correct hazardous situations present or in the making,

o Evaluate conditions and behaviors or risk analysis,

o Utilize effective problem-solving processes and skills,

o Maintain project and company safety expectations.

This is a National Grid site, building a new sub-station, we expect the project to begin by the end of the month. This would be an immediate hire and would last 5-6 month. It is an on-site position, 5-days / week. Field address is:
